![]() In book 4, Dan and Amy discover that Napoleon, Thomas Edison, and Marie Curie are connected with their unique and, seemingly, powerful family. ![]() Each previous book in the series has introduced many historically famous people. Book 4 takes place in Egypt where the Cahill siblings (Dan and Amy) find themselves exploring ancient tombs, studying hieroglyphics, meeting old family friends who had connections with their deceased grandmother, and having major run-ins with members of their extended family (rivalry is big in this book). They’re even better when they’re spiced up with international travel and famous people. Mysteries are a great way to hold the attention of a young reader. This is a series that has been designed to be completely interactive and give a unique flair to reading-in other words, “Calling all reluctant readers.” You can read my reviews of Book 1, Book 2, and Book 3, if you’re not familiar with the series but if you’ve been keeping up-chances are you’re actually ahead-here is my review of book 4. DreamWorks have bought the movie rights, and there is an on-line game and collectible trading cards.
